GeoMatrix Solutions Inc.

GeoMatrix Solutions Inc. (GSI) researches, develops and markets mineral and glass technologies for radioactive and hazardous waste management. GSI has proprietary processes for immobilization of radioactive and hazardous waste, both in liquid and solid form.
"Enhanced vitrification" is a technology that provides a substantially higher waste loading ( the amount of waste immobilized in a given volume) than standard vitrification.
"Mineral encapsulation" is a second technology that immobilizes the waste within a mineral matrix, surrounded by either glass or rock. Mineral encapsulation of radioactive and hazardous wastes provides more secure and longer lasting immobilization than other technologies, in addition to high waste loadings. These technologies are especially suited for high-level and low- activity radioactive waste [HLW and LAW].
